Here is a fact that sounds like a joke but is not: time passes very slightly faster at your head than at your feet. Gravity, according to Einstein, does not merely pull objects together; it stretches the flow of time itself. The stronger the gravity, the slower the clock, and gravity is a whisper weaker a few feet higher off the ground.

The effect is absurdly tiny at human scale — over a lifetime, the difference between head and feet adds up to a fraction of a second.
